Yangtse trolleybus has been champion in China in terms of production and sales for 10 consecutive years by virtue of its excellent performance. It is an electric bus powered by overhead wires (600–750V DC) via twin poles, combining the flexibility of road vehicles with rail-like efficiency. The DC power source from the overhead line grid can directly power the vehicle without needing assistance from the auxiliary battery pack. Both the power battery and the line network can supply power independently. When the vehicle is operating on the overhead line network, it draws drive power from the line network, while the power battery is either charging or in a rest state. Conversely, when the vehicle is offline, it relies on the power battery for its drive power.
Through the leading aerial charging mode, the battery is always in the state of shallow charging and discharging, which makes the battery life reach 8 years steadily.
The use of lightweight materials and simple technology reduces the vehicle's deadweight by 20 per cent and the vehicle's energy consumption by 15 per cent compared to fuel buses in the same class.
Strengthened air-conditioning lightning protection, collector lightning protection design, so that the insulation of the whole vehicle is greatly strengthened. Once insulation failure, the whole vehicle automatically cut off the input high voltage. The driver's driving area is independently isolated, avoiding the interference of passengers to the driver and ensuring the safety of driving.
User-friendly built-in design
The vehicle features inward-facing windows with UV-resistant glass for natural ventilation, allowing visitors to better enjoy the scenery. Together with the one-step design, wheelchair users can drive the wheelchair vehicle on their own without any assistance.
